A Time of TransitionOne of the most difficult challenges in life is saying goodbye to a beloved. But in our Cherokee language there is no actual word for “goodbye”; this word is too final. We say “Stiyu”, which means “Be strong”. Now, instead of saying goodbye, we honor their stages of life while standing strong.

Art from AshesArt from Ashes is created especially for you, in honor of your animal companion. Each piece is carefully created, based on what you choose to incorporate into the artwork (ashes, whiskers, fur, feathers, scales, etc.) The patterns, colors, and texture will symbolize the messages that came through from your beloved’s In-Spirit reading.

“We don't need to shift our responsibilities onto the shoulders of some deified Spiritual Superman, or sit around and wait for Fate to come knocking at the door. We simply need to believe in the power that's within us, and use it. When we do that, and stop imitating others and competing against them, things begin to work for us.”
― Benjamin Hoff, The Tao of Pooh
Avoid A Holidaze!
As the holidays ensue, many of us are gathering with friends and family more frequently. -Sometimes even with strangers. Although these are intended to be joyous occasions, it is not without stress. We may feeling stretched emotionally, financially, physically, or with our time.
Being an Empath has its advantages, but it also has downsides, too. It can be draining and exhausting.- especially around the holidays. That is why self love and self care is of the utmost importance! For Empaths, especially those living with pets, this can be an overwhelming and confusing time. It is not uncommon for Highly Sensitive People to take on outside stressors and energies that do not "belong" to us.
This can also occur with our companion animals.
Learn how do identify whether you, a friend, or family member is an Empath, and also how this affects our relationships —not only with humans, but with our companion animals as well! Learn how we can ALL avoid a "Holidaze!"

Hummingbird Wisdom: How Are You Expending Your Energy?
The body is a device to calculate the astronomy of the spirit. -- Rumi ♥
Are you saying YES to everything in the world and ignoring your needs? As an Empath, it's easy to become burned out, frustrated, and exhausted from caring for others. But here's the catch: Self love and self care allows us to better care for those we love most. Take Time Out for Yourself. The Hummingbird totem reminds us, "The sweetest nectar is within!"
Got Fear? Get Grounded.
“Get yourself grounded and you can navigate even the stormiest roads in peace.” ― Steve Goodier
Grounding is one way to lift our energy & raise our vibration.💫 Grounding is a technique that shifts us into the present moment and out of the fear-based ego-mind. Being grounded reorients us. Grounding gets out of future-thinking or past-thinking; both of which can cause fear, anxiety, and depression.
Grounding is the practice of energetically connecting to Earth.
This releases negative energy from your field into the ground, and draws positive energy from Mother Nature into your field and chakras, which replenishes and recharges your whole being. Grounding is helpful to manage overwhelming feelings or intense anxiety. It helps us to gain clarity & heart-centeredness after an intense emotional state.

There are many ways to ground.
-Walking barefoot on the Earth
- Sitting near/hugging a tree
- Wearing red
- Taking a clearing bath
- Ocean "bathing"
- Root vegetables
- Prayer
- Chanting
- Meditation

“When I stopped searching for home within others and lifted the foundations of home within myself I found there were no roots more intimate than those between a mind and body that have decided to be whole.” ― Rupi Kaur
Healing Together with Mother Earth
As an Empath who used to suffer from extreme anxiety and depression I understand all too well how we can easily become overwhelmed by our fearful thoughts, by what others around us are saying/doing, by the current fearful energies, and by what we are witnessing right now. I am conscious of my thoughts, beliefs, and subconscious patterns, but I also make a point to ground daily.
My favorite way to ground is to be at the beach. Just being near water, and having the Earth's powerful magnetic pull under my feet will ground my energy and center my mind. It also helps me to focus on my breathing. Have you noticed that when you get anxious, your whole body tenses up and your breath moves from deep and calming, to shallow and light? This kind of shallow breathing keeps the anxiety alive in your body. If the body can’t relax, neither can the mind.
Take deep, full breaths all the way down into your belly. Breathe in through your nose and as you exhale through your mouth, make your exhale longer than your inhale. This deep breathing signals the body to relax and helps calm your mind and spirit. If we want to move out of painful emotions and stressful thoughts, we can GROUND. It helps to move us out of critical, judgmental thinking, and it anchors our energy to Mother Earth ✨
Nature is pure love and divine consciousness. Allow them to source you. 💚💙💛✨💫

“No human is as wise as Mother Earth. She has witnessed every human day, every human struggle, every human pain, and every human joy. For maladies of both body and spirit, the wise ones of old pointed man to the hills. Mother Earth stands ready to nurture and heal her children.”
― Anasazi Foundation, The Seven Paths: Changing One's Way of Walking in the World
A Willingness To See Things Differently
We are NEVER powerless. In every circumstance, we have the power to see things in a new light. This pertains to people, pets, places, ideas or events. Today's meditation is focused on this mantra: Above all else, I want to see things differently. In this meditative exercise, a table is used. But a table can be substituted for anything, anyone, and any idea your eyes & mind focus upon. 🔆🦋👥🐟🐎🌳💀🌞🌚🧜♀️
The light you will see in any one of them is the same light you will see in them all.

“One of the marvelous things about community is that it enables us to welcome and help people in a way we couldn't as individuals. When we pool our strength, and share the work and responsibility, we can welcome many people, even those in deep distress, and perhaps help them find self-confidence and inner healing.”
― Jean Vanier, Community And Growth
